Description:
Between Belfast and Machadodorp and less than two hours from Johannesburg, the land falls sharply away towards the lowveld and fountains comes cascading down beautiful valleys to join the Elands River on it way down to the sea. Here a beautiful Cape Dutch farmhouse with Old World charm and a cozy atmosphere awaits the discerning visitor.
The old farmhouse is situated between old pine and blue gum trees and up to twelve people can enjoy its warm atmosphere, while a beautiful park-like garden surrounds it.
The eleven well-stocked dams are beautifully situated next to a pine forest, and along a 2km stretch of the Elands River.
Options include a small, well-stocked "ladies" dam or bigger dams where you could expect fish of up to 3.5 kg to accept your fly.
A luxurious cozy cottage offers a beautiful view down the escarpment and provides accommodation for six. A cup of steaming coffee can be enjoyed while you watch the sunrise and listen to the call of nature.
Accommodation is fully equipped and serviced daily.

Visitors can go for walks through the valley, where the aloes bloom in the winter, and follow the trail to the historic watch-post built during the Anglo Boer War to control the road between Belfast and Machadodorp.
A wide range of birds can also be viewed, with 165 species on the farm, from water birds and fish eagles, to gynogenes nesting in the high trees and sunbirds feeding on the aloes.
The waterfall, pine forest and river make for some ideal picnic spots. And, for the more adventurous, there's also mountain bike and quad bike trails (bring your own bikes). Whatever you decide to do while visiting Fins and Falls, you will return refreshed and ready to tackle the world out there again.

Trout Fishing:
Catch and release is permitted, proper fly-fishing tackle

Rainbow trout may be taken out and will be charged for
@ R70,00 per kilo. Brown and Golden trout is for catch and
release only, in case of fish being injured it must be taken
out and will be charged for @ R100,00 per kilo.
